Institute of Composition and Music Theory
The Institute of Composition and Music Theory prepares students for the majors Composition and Music Theory/Aural Skills Training as well as offering the postgraduate course in composition.
In addition, it offers the disciplines of composition (with harmony, counterpoint and compositional techniques of the 20th century), aural skills training, theory of musical form and music analysis, instrumentation, score reading and key music theory topics as compulsory modules for students in most programs of study. The establishment of master's programs in Composition and Music Theory is planned. Activities of the institute open to the public include concerts, lectures and workshops.
