The Aelous International Competition for Wind Instruments

The Aeolus Competition enjoys an international reputation. Its purpose is to close a gap in the music world, because wind players rarely have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in competitions. To give as many talents as possible a chance, the categories of the competition change every year. In total, the competition covers nine wind instruments: Bassoon, oboe, saxophone, tuba, trumpet, trombone, flute, horn and clarinet. Prize money of € 60,000 awaits the young musicians. The competition is part of the  Fédération Mondiale des Concours Internationaux de Musique. It unites the most prestigious competitions in the world. The Aeolus Competition for wind instruments
