Bachelor of Music / Major in Orchestral Instruments
1. Presence Examination
The performance proficiency test consists of the following parts and should have a duration of max. 15 minutes per artistic presentation:
- Organ Literature::
- three works of moderate difficulty from different style periods (at a minimum including a prelude and fugue by J. S. Bach and a contemporary work), sightreading
Liturgical Organ Playing:
Prepared: improvisation of a chorale prelude, an improvised four-part harmonization for a hymn tune
Unprepared: unprepared hymn introductions and accompaniments to songs from the commonly used hymnals
- Piano:
three works of moderate difficulty from different style periods
- Gesang:
at least one sacred, folk or art song and sight-singing.
A short reflective talk related to the artistic presentation.
The examination board reserves the right to make a selection from the prepared pieces.
After passing the presence examination:
Written exams in music theory and aural skill training.
