Requirements for the Orchestral Instruments master’s program – Flute major
Master of Music / Major in Orchestral Instruments
1. Preselection
For the pre-selection, a total of 4 uncut videos showing artistic presentations have to be submitted with the application. The total duration of the 4 videos should not exceed 20 minutes. The following requirements apply:
- a Mozart concerto, from it exposition and development 1st movement and exposition 2nd movement with piano accompaniment. 1 uncut video.
- one piece of free choice with piano accompaniment. 1 uncut video.
- Orchestral pieces. 1 uncut video.
- Large flute: 2 orchestral parts of your choice.
- Piccolo flute: 1 orchestral part of your choice.
2. Presence Examination
The presence examination includes the following parts:
- Artistic presentation: the same repertoire requirements apply as in the preselection. The same works may be presented as in the preselection.
- A short reflective talk related to the artistic presentation.
The examination board reserves the right to make a selection from the prepared pieces.
