Doctoral studies

For students who have obtained a Master's degree in Musicology, there is the opportunity to pursue doctoral studies, where they independently explore research questions in musicology. Further information can be obtained upon request from the managing director of the Institute of Musicology: Prof. Dr. Gundela Bobeth.

The examination regulations for the program, which clarify, among other things, the admission requirements and the documents to be submitted, including forms, can be found under Regulations & Forms.

Applications are accepted on February 15th and August 15th each year. Please contact the Institute of Musicology before submitting your application.
