Partika Hall Sound Control Room

The Partika hall studio is used for recording and mixing acoustic music. The sound control room is equipped with five ME Geithain RL 922K monitors, and corresponding subwoofers for 5.1 surround sound. It is possible to record up to 56 tracks on two DAW solutions. Mixes can comprise up to 64 tracks if required. The studio is connected to the concert hall by means of the RAVENNA audio network, and there is also visual contact between the hall and the sound control room.  Since concerts are held in the Partika hall almost every evening, the studio is excellent for gaining experience in concert recording.

For production purposes, the students have access to a Steinway C as their grand piano for recordings. In addition to its wonderful acoustics and flexible recording technology, the studio is distinguished by its array of high-end microphones by Brüel and Kjaer, Microtech Gefell, Neumann, Schoeps and Sennheiser.
