Etüdion is an interactive media installation by Jonas Scheler, which was prepared in 2017 as his final exam piece in the Visual Music major concentration. The 2 x 1.12m extendable, white membrane reacts to mechanical stimulation such as pressure, movement, speed or stretching and, in this way, turns the apparently ordinary screen into a touch-sensitive audio-visual multi-touch instrument. A video beamer behind the screen projects graphical and moving forms onto it. Observers can touch this screen and, in this way, see a representation of their movements, both as a picture on the screen and also hear their movements through headphones.
