Brighter Day by Anna Hummen was created out of a desire for a new beginning, away from melancholy and into the maelstrom of fears of days gone by, which the songwriter and producer courageously confronts. In dialogue with motion-reactive visuals (tracking with Kinect sensors), the artist sings about her process in the form of an experimental pop song.

The performance Brighter Day was Hummen’s final project in the Visual Music program at the Institute for Music and Media at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf. The work was supervised by Prof. Dr. Heike Sperling and Marcus Schmickler.
